Passion Projects
Overview
These projects cover causes I care about, styles I admire, and places I feel connected to. Whether designing a social campaign for mental heath awareness, creating a cosmic banner for a local music charity, or translating my love of the sea into wearable watercolour art. Each piece reflects a part of who I am. Collectively, they form a portfolio of passion, celebration, and love.
Approach
With these kinds of projects, following instinct over brief always seems to have the best outcome and with no budget, I could afford to break the rules.
The marathon post in aid of the mind charity was built around motion and momentum, using typography and layout to reflect endurance, urgency, and support.
The Vale Earth Fare banner leaned into space-themed rebellion, otherworldly colours, and a local landmark. Capturing the events fearless local energy.
For the Malika Favre inspired illustration, I explored bold contrast and sensual minimalism, letting form suggest feeling, as seen in all of Favre’s designs.
Lastly in the hand-painted sea-inspired T-shirt, I used my painting skills to create a layered watercolour texture that feels fluid and alive as the sea inspired them.
